Cancer! The word no
parent wants to hear when taking a child to the doctor. That’s exactly
what happened to us and our families; Mike and his family in January
2018 and Terry and his family in November 2021. Mike’s daughter
Alexandra, 28, was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and
Terry’s daughter Ida, 26, was diagnosed with DLBCL (Diffuse Large B-Cell
Lymphoma), 2 cancers that primarily strike down people well into their
60s and have very low survival rates. This song got its start in 2017
without lyrics but it wasn’t until we saw how strong, brave and powerful
our daughters are that it gave this song a new life (much like the great
doctors who cared for our children) with lyrics that tell exactly how
badass our kids can be. Not everyone has the same journey, but everyone
has the same message…FUCK CANCER!!!
